 Legal opinion on the vacancy in the Provincial Government of Ifugao:

1) Does the ranking of the Sanggunian to fill up permanent vacancy apply only to the Local Chief Executive for purposes of automatic succession and not to the position of the Vice Governor?

2) Is the position of Vice Governor a permanent or temporary vacancy in the case of Ifugao? If so, how is the procedure in filling up the vacancy and the ranking of the Sanggunian?

1) After the completion of the trial on the merits of an administrative case against a local elective official (mayor), who implements the suspension ordered by the Sangguniang Panlalawigan?

2) What role does the governor have, if any, in the implementation of the decision of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan?

2009-212 Opinion as to whether or not local chief executives (Punong Barangay, Mayor & Governor) are authorized to possessed and carry firearms within their territorial jurisdiction without a permit to carry firearms outside of residence (PTCFOR)
