PAMANA Project Launched at Betwagan, Sadanga

DILG PD Anthony Ballug, Sadanga Mayor Gabino Ganggangan, Vice Mayor Joseph Apopot and the OPAPP Team during the Ground Breaking Ceremony of the Betwagan Bridge and Betwagan Road in Betwagan, Sadanga, Mountain Province.

The Department of the Interior and Local Government-CAR in partnership with the Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process (OPAPP) put into effect the Memorandum of Agreement between the Philippine government and the Cordillera Bodong Administration – Cordillera Peoples Liberation Army (CPLA-CBA) dated July 4, 2011 in a ground breaking ceremony for the Betwagan Bridge and Betwagan Road project on February 6, 2013.

The project which costs 52M pesos is one of the PAMANA 2013 projects of DILG-CAR.  The completion of the bridge and the access road would give ease to the delivery and transportation of goods and services to the people of barangays Betwagan and Anabel, connecting barangay Betwagan to the national road.

DILG Provincial Director Anthony I. Ballug and OPAPP Peace Accord Monitoring Secretariat Director Alexander Umpar joined Sadanga Mayor Gabino Ganggangan and Vice Mayor Joseph Apopot in the ground breaking ceremony.  LGU officials of Sadanga and barangays Anabel and

Betwagan together with the members  of CPLA were also present during the ceremony.  CPLA is now known as the Cordillera Forum on Peace and Development Inc. (CFPDI).  ####
